We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to drive sales and profitability for our market-leading portfolio in biomolecules (protein and DNA purification), small molecule synthesis (microwave and peptide synthesis), purification (flash chromatography), and solvent evaporation. The role encompasses instruments, consumables, and services across Sweden, Denmark, and Norway, with customers in academia and industry—from small research labs to large pharma and CROs.

The role is preferably based in Sweden (remote) and reports to Heinz Doersam, Sales Director of Organic Chemistry and Biomolecules Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage sales activities for assigned accounts in your territory, meeting or exceeding targets through effective territory management.
- Build and strengthen relationships with key opinion and technology leaders.
- Identify and qualify new leads while expanding the business at existing accounts.
- Represent Biotage at scientific meetings and exhibitions, fostering relationships with the customer community.
- Guide sales opportunities through the funnel: engage decision-makers, identify customer drivers, design tailored solutions, negotiate, quote, and close deals.
- Document sales processes in Salesforce (CRM).
- Collaborate with European and global teams.
- Monitor and report market trends and competitor activities.
- Maintain extensive product and service knowledge.
- Travel extensively across the territory.
- Proactively forecast, monitor, and report territory performance.
Qualifications
- Scientific background (minimum BSc) in a relevant life science area; familiarity with organic chemistry techniques and/or molecular biology / biochemistry.
- Proven sales record preferably in both capital and consumables sales.
- Experience with consultative/value selling methodologies.
- Knowledge of Biotage or competitor products is an advantage.
- Experience selling to Pharma, BioPharma, CROs, Biotech, or Academia is beneficial.
- Proficiency in Swedish or Danish and English, both written and spoken.
- CRM system experience is desirable.
- Valid driver’s license.
