Accounts Payable Specialist

The opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling and executing payment disbursements to vendors in accordance with payment terms and company policies.

The Role

• Review invoices ready for payment in accordance with respective payment terms
• Process EFT and ACH payment batch files in the system as per established procedures
• Prepare wire payments with a high level of accuracy
• Ensure that prepayments and credits have been properly applied to invoices and that the remaining balance is only processed for payment
• Ensure that all payments have been applied to invoices promptly to avoid duplicate payments
• Prepare check payments for invoices paid by checks
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What you will bring

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounts payable with a focus on payment processing.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong English communication in written and oral
• Organized and meticulous with focus on accuracy

• Amenable to work on US business hours
• Can work on a remote setup
