The Role

We are looking for a detail-driven Accounts & Payroll Officer to join our Finance team and help keep our numbers in check as we scale. You will own day-to-day accounts and payroll across our Australian and Canadian operations, working closely with the Finance Manager and broader team.

What You'll Do

• Perform bank reconciliations across multiple company accounts in Australia and Canada, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and matched

• Manage end-to-end accounts payable, including processing supplier invoices, verifying coding, and arranging timely payments

• Process and reconcile company credit card transactions from digital expense management platforms, collecting supporting invoices and ensuring expenses are correctly recorded

• Support payroll processing for both Australian and international employees, ensuring payroll data is accurate and up to date

• Maintain payroll records for new hires, terminations, and employee changes

• Assist with month-end close, including preparing journals, prepayments, accruals, and supporting the team with financial reporting

• Monitor outstanding invoices, follow up on overdue payments, and prepare and issue invoices when required

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

• Minimum 2 years' experience in bank reconciliation, accounts payable, and payroll processing

• Hands-on experience with Xero accounting software

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with financial data

• Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment - experience in SaaS or tech is a bonus
