ABOUT US:
The London Club has been a leader in the private club experience for over 120 years and known for our exceptional dining experiences and commitment to quality. We are currently seeking a talented and creative Event Supervisor to join our events team and to be a part of a one of only a handful of Distinguished Clubs that exist in Canada.
JOB SUMMARY (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
Manage the service of members and guest events and dining. Supervise service staff. Greet and seat member and event organizers. Maintain order and cleanliness. Assure that member satisfaction standards are consistently attained while maintaining appropriate staffing levels Receives and greets members and guests using their surname.
JOB SUMMARY (ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES)
- Supervise and lead the event team, assigning tasks and ensuring everyone is aligned with event goals
- Coordinates food service between kitchen and service staff.
- Inspects service rooms to ensure proper maintenance, cleanliness, and safety.
- Resolves member and guest complaints.
- Advises manager of any complaints as soon as they occur.
- May serve as Club’s opening or closing manager.
- Enforces established rules, regulations, and policies.
- Provides immediate attention to all members and guests upon seating.
- Takes members’ and guests’ orders; suggestively sells food and beverage items, if appropriate.
- Quality checks all food items with members and guests.
- Presents menus, suggests, and serves dessert, coffee and after dinner drinks if required.
- Keeps tables, rooms and bus station areas clean.
- Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned by the manager.
- Leads pre-event meetings.
- Thanks members and guests; invites them to return.
- Assures that provincial law and club policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages are consistently followed.
- Lead by example, mentor and train staff
- Act as the primary point of contact during events, ensuring that everything runs according to plan and addressing any issues that arise
- Manage labour levels on daily and weekly basis.
- Advanced knowledge of food and beverage services.
- Organize and maintain alcohol storage.
- Ensure all orders are put away daily.
- Performs other appropriate assignments and projects as required by the restaurant manager.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $18.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
