Business Controller Sales

In this position you are the key person between Finance and Sales for the Western Europe Cluster (Belgium, France, Luxembourg and the Netherlands). You will be working in a multicultural team, with a manager who will focus on your talents and prepare you for a great career within Miele. What you will be doing:

This role ensures proper execution of financial planning and analyses as well as reporting within the Western Europe Cluster for the area of Sales, incl. budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis and data quality management. In that setup your main task is to support growth of net sales improvement of the channel/customer margins/profitability.

• Support FP&A Director and Cluster MD in core task of improving financial development of the cluster through active financial management and business partnering to the local Sales Directors.
• Conduct financial analyses and communicate key financial developments frequently to the Sales Directors, FP&A Director and/or Cluster Managing Director
• Offer financial guidance to the Sales Directors in key business decisions related to growth of net sales and customer/channel/territory profitability.
• Responsible for the preparation of regular reporting of sales and margin developments within the cluster as well as business cases within the sales stream.
• Coordination and operational execution of the regular forecast and budget cycles in the cluster.
• Ensure accurate handling of rebate management.
• Prepare pre- and post-calculations of promotions.
• Support strategic and tactical development of the business and financial processes under the guidance of the FP&A Director.

The Business Controller we are looking for:

• Has a Bachelor/Master's degree in an economic or financial field.
• Some 3 years of experience as a Sales/Financial Analyst or Financial/Business Controller or audit.
• Is a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of financial processes.
• Masters Excel extremely well (pivot tables and power pivots) and can work well with ERP packages and BI (Business Intelligence) for reporting. Knowledge of SAP and/or Power BI is a plus.
• Can easily understand existing business processes and challenge them where necessary.
• Is well organized and result-oriented, takes initiative and can set priorities.
• Communicates clearly in English and delivers a message in a non-technical, but concrete way.
