The Company
A leading Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer (IPP) with 200+ employees, 2GW+ of installed capacity globally. As the portfolio expands so does its ambition to achieve significant year-on-year growth. As part of ongoing investment into focus markets and the need to drive Development & Construction of existing secured pipeline, whilst originating fresh multi-gigawatt opportunities, they are looking to secure a CEO APAC to join their High Performing Executive Management Teams.
The Role:
As CEO Asia Pacific, you will be responsible for leading the group’s Project Development, M&A, Construction, and PPA activities of Utility Scale Renewables Power Plants. Some duties will include:
- Be the driving force behind the Origination and acquisition of a Multi-GW+ pipeline of Solar PV & Onshore Wind projects
- Develop & execute 3 to 5 year strategy
- Structure the local organisation, projects, and joint ventures for maximum effect
- Recruit, lead, and manage a team for future success
- Manage/ Project Manage the cross-functional team (due diligence, finance, H&S, legal), plus external financial advisors
- Lead & establish relationships with land owners, municipals, project developers & financial institutions across the region
- Solve problems and find inventive ways to ensure the success of projects
- Take a leading role in commercial negotiations, lobbying, and brand engagement
- Report results to the Global Board
The Person:
The successful candidate will likely have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, or Law
- 5+ years experience in Project Development, Acquisition, or Construction of Utility Scale Solar PV or Onshore Wind projects
- Proven abilities to develop and acquire a ready-to-build and operational asset pipeline in Australia/New Zealand
- The ability to recruit, lead, and drive results from a high-performing team
- A strong ability to operate at all levels, right up to Board Level Management
- A strong network of Developers, EPCs, OEMs, Government, and Financial Institutions
- A strong commercial acumen with proven experience in Legal, Contractual, and Project Finance. PPAs are also advantageous
- Be able to solve complex problems, Engage, Lead, motivate and inspire teams to success
- Speak English
