Main objectives:
- Maximise commercial performance while managing business/project risk (pre and post-contract)
- Commercialisation of service offerings to support business growth and strategy
- Ensure compliance with relevant commercial/contracting policies
- Resolution of disputes/claims and cash collection issues Embedding effective commercial governance and assurance across the Projects / Portfolio of Projects
Main tasks:
- Champion and promote the application of the Financial Management Framework guidelines
- Champion and follow the relevant DOA and commercial / contracting policies
- Compliance with Woods commercial policies, processes, and procedures (tender governance, financial instruments, contracting policy, etc.)
- Development, implementation, and maintenance of project commercial handover/plans including commercial strategy, subcontracting commercial strategy, and profit improvement plans
- Regular project cost analysis/reviews to maximize recoverable costs, minimize disallowable costs, and ensures adequate cost accruals and provisions are in place.
- Drive margin improvement initiatives
- Drive cash improvement initiatives
- Functionally responsible for oversight and management of commercial personnel
- Accountable for governance and assurance of commercial policies and processes, and commercial delivery on tenders/projects
Knowledge, skills and experience
- 8-12 years experience in a similar role with 4+ years of leadership/management experience
- Proven experience in contract administration
- Experience in contract negotiations Experience in claims & dispute resolution (pre and post-litigation experience preferred
