The Opportunity

px Engineering are currently seeking to engage an English speaking, locally based Construction Coordinator, initially on a circa 12-month fixed term staff basis, based at our Risavika site, Stavanger, Norway.

Reporting to the Project Manager/Engineer, the Construction Coordinator will provide total task ownership, coordinating a rolling program of site remediation and improvement works alongside the selected contractors.


Minimum requirements:

  • Trade qualified with a minimum of 10 years applicable experience.
  • IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent) with a good understanding of industry specific legislation.
  • Promote SHE excellence including px Vision, Values and Life Saving rules.
  • Excellent team working, strong communication skills (English & Norwegian).
  • Track record in leading/coordinating multi discipline contractor teams as part of a managing contractor organisation.
  • Act as the construction team focal point working in close coordination with the RSL operations team.
  • Support the development and implementation of a detailed schedule.
  • Support the development of technical scopes, technical bid evaluation and contractor engage processes.
  • Coordinate/screen and process site technical queries.
  • Support Construction Contractor mobilisation pre-requisites including RAMS peer review, Schedule and Competency assessments and permit to work coordination.
  • Support coordination with technical authority and inspection contractors.
  • Conduct active and measurable HSSE and Quality surveillance activities.
  • Provide regular progress updates including input to the project schedule.
  • Highlight and intervene in instances of HSSE, Quality, Schedule or Cost related risk.
  • Provide input as required to construction reviews, meetings, and workshops.
