Ecce Room Leader Full Time

FamiliBase is a centre for children, young people and families based in Dublin 10. FamiliBase has three strands of service delivery i.e. Early Years and Afterschool, Child and Family and Youth and Community. FamiliBase operates an integrated model of practice. Programme delivery in FamiliBase occurs at different levels i.e. from universal level to intensive wrap around for those with multiple or more complex needs. FamiliBase could be described as a ‘one stop shop’ of supports for children, young people and families.

FamiliBase are seeking to recruit the following,

ECCE Room Leader Full Time

To manage the day-to-day running of the room and ensure the highest quality of care is provided to children and families.to support families and staff to ensure that the needs of children are met, and that parental choice is considered in terms of care given. To plan, implement and review development programmes in line with the Aistear framework and the Siolta principles. Perform other reasonable and relevant duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Salary: Starting salary of €30,576 per year, with annual increments (Salary is negotiable depending on qualifications and experience)

Hours: This is a full-time position requiring 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM.

Essential Criteria

· A recognised qualification, minimum FETAC/ QQI level 6 that is approved under the Early Years (Pre-school) Regulations.

· A minimum of one year’s experience of leading an ECCE room

· Experience of implementing Aistear and Siolta framework

Early years & afterschool practitioners

To support and assist in the provision of full-time day care of the highest quality. Experience in working within a play-based service and a working knowledge of applying Aistear and Siolta to curriculum planning and practice.
Support children’s developments – emotional, social, physical and cognitive in carrying out activities.
Conduct observations & learning stories for assigned child/children.
Perform other reasonable and relevant duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Full time 35 hours per week

Salary: Starting salary of €30,030 per year, with annual increments

Hours: This is a Full-time position requiring 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM.

Part time 20 hours per week

Salary: Starting salary of €17,160 per year, with annual increments

Hours: This is a Part time position requiring 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM.

Essential Criteria

· A recognised qualification (minimum FETAC/ QQI level 5) that is approved under the Early Years (Pre-school) Regulations.

· Experience of working with children for a minimum of 6 months is essential.

· Knowledge of implementing Aistear and Siolta Frameworks in the early year’s environment

Full time AIM Practitioners 35 hours per week

Key areas of work:

· To provide additional supports to allow target child/children to fully access the ECCE programme within an early years setting.

· To liaise with parent with sharing of information on target child,

· To ensure the target child is safe and their health is maintained during the preschool session.

· To observe, plan and implement appropriate activities through a key worker system.

· To ensure that the target child receives a quality experience within the environment.

· To assist with other children within the preschool when needed and to provide support for them with development needs, interests and planned activities.

Salary: Starting salary of €30,030 per year, with annual increments

Hours: This is a Full-time position requiring 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM.
