Field Service Technician

We are looking for a self-starter “Field Service Technician” to perform service jobs, using our third party ticketing system app, installed on your smartphone with multimedia capabilities, GPS enabled. We provide hardware and software support for different types of clients from Corporate offices, Government, Fast food chains, Hospitals and more, located in a range that can be from 40 miles or more from your zip code (Paid Mileage). We need a tech with the best availability and the tools and knowledge required to complete the types of the job below:

Type of Works

-Desktop/Laptop -Networking -Point of Sale (POS) -Printer/copier -CCTV / Alarm Systems -Low Voltage Cabling -Server Hardware/Software -Automated Teller Machine (ATM) -Fiber Cabling -Pro A/V, Digital Signage -Smart home -UPS backup and maintenance -Rack & stack -Kiosk installation/maintenance -PC imaging

A day in the life of our Techs includes:
· Providing on site services and customer support following our client’s guidelines for each site.
· Performing on-site installations, uninstalls, repairs and preventive maintenance actions as require by the scope of work provided from our clients.
· Using any hardware sent to us (Either to clients location or directly to your shipping address) and taking ownership on making sure parts are installed and shipped back to clients via shipping carriers (USPS, FedEx, UPS, DHL etc.)
· Work in collaboration with other Risen Bits LLC techs, for larger scale projects at customer premises and being able to follow instructions from Lead Engineers or taking ownership if you are the lead.

WORK SCHEDULE

This is a Monday – Friday schedule. Might require overtime or weekends
Generally, service requests may start anytime from 7 AM and end at 5 PM or until finish
This position requires the ability to provide short notice over high priority tickets (flexibility is important) Travel, overtime, and work-hours other than Monday-Friday may be required

REQUIREMENTS

· Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service hardware in general.
· Must be proficient in English
· Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules
· Excellent customer service and communication skills with clients of all tempers.
· General skills in Microsoft Office tools.
· Must have own set of basic tools.
· Reliable transportation.
· Smart Phone with multimedia capabilities (Android or iPhone)
· Successfully pass the drug screen, motor vehicle report (MVR) and background check (we do not check your credit score)

Specific duties, activities and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Have strong communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Must be able to follow directions when given a task from Operations Manager or designee in charge of install.
  • Familiarity with networking technologies and troubleshooting.
  • Provide preventive maintenance in customers hardware as requested.
  • Document all inspections, maintenance, repair work and submits paperwork in a timely basis.
  • Maintains clear and concise business communication, both oral and written.
  • Manage all onsite test tasks (Order, install, and return parts)
  • Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
  • Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocols

Other skills and abilities needed for this position:

  • Demonstrates ability to manage multiple tasks in a professional and timely manner
  • Knowledge Mobile software applications (preferred)
  • Mechanical Aptitude - Ability to correctly interpret maintenance manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Perform physical aspects of the job, including heavy lifting of machines
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Technical support: 1 year (Preferred)
  • IT support: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Field service technician: 1 year (Preferred)

Language:

  • English (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

  • 75% (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
