Johnston Mooney & O’Brien (JMOB) is one of Ireland’s leading manufacturers of bakery products for both the retail & foodservice sectors. JMOB has been around for 190 years now and is a household name and a hugely evocative brand in Ireland. We are proud of the comprehensive range of daily fresh breads and burger buns we sell including such well-known brands as: as TOASTIE, GOODNESS OF BOTH and BUNDYS. The business also has long-standing relationships with many of Ireland’s leading Foodservice providers.
Based in Finglas, we are seeking to recruit a Foodservice Sales Manager who will report directly to the Sales Director, to grow our bread & burger bun business with key accounts in the Irish Foodservice/catering sector.
Role/Objectives
There are two key elements to the role. Firstly, JMOB has significant existing contracts with some of Ireland’s largest foodservice providers and we want to ensure that these customers are receiving the highest level of service and account management to maintain and develop that business. Secondly, there are many potential customers out there, both in Ireland and abroad, where we can develop new business. The successful candidate will utilise both internal & external insight & data to identify the most lucrative opportunities for the business to target over the next five years. Once agreed, you will work with the Sales Director to develop business plans and proposals using the broader sales team to target, win and service these opportunities. You will be expected to get in front of these customers, develop and deliver successful pitches and then work with our field-based team to ensure that these customers receive the service they expect.
Requirements or Skills:
· You have a business qualification and 4-5 years of sales experience, ideally as an account manager in the Foodservice sector.
· You are a self-motivated, target driven sales professional.
· You are an excellent communicator and are comfortable pitching and presenting to customers.
· You must have good analytical skills and be comfortable calculating pricing and margins.
· You possess excellent attention to detail.
· You like working as part of a team and have good influencing skills.
· You must be a competent user of Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint.
Your main responsibilities will include:
· Growing the sales and profit of our Foodservice business.
· Build a solid working relationship with our existing key accounts business by working with them to maintain and develop our business with them including the agreement of joint business plans, service plans and promotion plans as appropriate.
· Identify potential new customers, win business with them and then manage the account relationship with them to realise the opportunity.
· Work with the wider sales team to ensure that we have the infrastructure and resources to service new business wins as we realise them.
· Provide reports on the business as required to the Sales Director
