About the team you are joining

Ground Operations team drives global development, implementation and adoption of the standards and best practices. The area of work includes safety, standardization, innovation, efficiency, and sustainability. Our team is the main contributor to the success of the ground operations product and services portfolio, which includes various standards manuals (AHM, IGOM), IATA training courses, IT solutions, as well as the IATA Ground Handling Conference.

Our team is results driven, energetic, hard working, and consisting of junior and senior talents with over 200 years of operational, safety, audit, and leadership experiences.

What your day would be like

The tasks and opportunities in this role include:

  • Gain expertise regarding baggage standards, requirements, challenges in regards to their implementation
  • Play a key role in coordinating Baggage Event
  • Support modeling of baggage messaging platform
  • Support data collection regarding baggage tracking
  • Support development of baggage data analytics and PowerBI
  • Organize and participate in meetings of different working groups and gain exposure to key stakeholders in baggage operations
  • Develop and maintain databases, covering various different data about baggage standards implementation
  • Gain experience in presentation of assessments to airlines and other stakeholders
  • Gain experience in writing papers and producing infographics to summarize developments


We would love to hear from you if

  • Recent university graduate (in the last 12 months) with passion for aviation, ground operations, data analytics
  • Some experience and proficiency in database development and Power BI would be an advantage
  • Advanced level in MS Office
  • Good analytical capabilities
  • Good organizational, time management, and communications skills
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken


Candidates applying for this job need to be recent graduates, available to start quickly, and work on a full-time basis (40 hours per week), for at least 6 months.
