Intern, It Asset Management

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is being hired for providing support for Infrastructure Planning and Software Asset Management.

JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Software licensing and ensuring compliance to licensing policies
• Work with Software Vendors and sourcing teams for Software procurement and renewal
• Regular review of Free and Open Source products
• Maintaining and updating of Software Catalog
• Handle Software Install Requests
• Inventory update of Software and hardware assets on Asset Explorer Tool
• License Reconciliation on a periodic basis
• Updating of contract information
• Ensuring Asset Explorer is updated with new software procurements
• Track any unauthorized software installations using Asset Explorer or other tools
• Must be able to work with users and operations teams in a technical and professional manner with minimum direction.
• Collaborate with cross functional IT groups to improve process & systems that help run efficient operations.
• Document operational processes and developed testing methods.
• This role is responsible for adherence to policies and procedures as well as performance expectations and is counted on to recommend and contribute to process improvements

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Good communicator with a natural aptitude for dealing with people
• Strong Excel and Power point skills
• Basic understanding of Infrastructure devices and their functions (Server, Network and Storage)
• Work well in a busy team, being quick to learn and able to deal with a wide range of issues.
• Strong analytical skills and able to collate and interpret data from various sources.
• Knowledge of IT Asset Management Procedures will be added advantage.

• Mid – 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM
