Junior Office Assistant

Thomas Barry & Company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Office Assistant to join our team and support our firm’s day-to-day business. The ideal candidate will be focused, friendly, and hard-working, along with possessing strong interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will also be someone who learns quickly, has strong time-management skills, and is willing to take initiative.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Taking and returning phone calls;
  • Scheduling appointments for the Notary Public;
  • Receiving, scanning, and assigning mail;
  • Greeting clients; and
  • Scanning documents and assisting with file opening.

Other Duties May Include:

  • Arranging couriers and town agents;
  • Recording and updating files and records;
  • Assisting with organising and maintaining office common areas;
  • Preparing select documentation during appointments;
  • Delivering documents locally; and
  • Other miscellaneous and ad hoc administrative and clerical tasks.

Candidate Requirements

  • Leaving Certificate;
  • Fluent in English;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Good phone etiquette;
  • Excellent multitasking and organisational skills;
  • Good work ethic and willingness to act on own initiative and within a team environment;
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to prioritise and balance multiple time-sensitive tasks;
  • Computer literacy and good IT skills; and
  • Reliable means of transportation into office.

Experience working in an administration or secretarial role is an asset but is not required.

This role is not suitable for candidates seeking a traineeship.

Working Hours

This position is on-site at our office in Dublin, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays.

Pay: €30,000.00 per year
