Key Account Manager | Polestar Sweden

The opportunity

We’re currently looking for a Key Account Manager Fleet to join our Sales team in Gothenburg, Sweden. In this role, you’ll help Polestar continue to grow its presence and brand awareness in the Swedish fleet and B2B market. We’re seeking someone with a passion for electric mobility, a keen interest in technology, and the drive to create meaningful change in the automotive industry.

As part of the Sales team, you’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of strategic accounts while supporting Polestar’s network of partners. This includes developing and executing sales strategies, contract management with corporate clients and leasing companies, and building strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders. The position reports to the Head of Sales in Sweden and involves cross-functional collaboration with marketing, customer service, and product development.

Given the nature of the B2B market, travel across Sweden will be required occasionally.


The responsibilities

In this role, you’ll be responsible for driving sales and achieving business objectives by managing key accounts and identifying growth opportunities. As a member of the Sales team, you’ll play a key role in growing our presence and achieving our targets in the fleet market. Your key tasks will include:

  • Planning and implementing sales activities for key accounts across small and medium fleet sales
  • Managing a portfolio of strategic accounts, building strong relationships with key clients in the automotive industry
  • Developing account strategies to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth
  • Collaborating with internal teams and Polestar Partners to deliver on customer expectations
  • Negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure mutual benefit and profitability
  • Monitoring and analysing customer performance, providing recommendations to improve overall account health


The ideal candidate

To thrive in this role, you’ll need to be a highly motivated, results-driven individual with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining a focus on long-term customer relationships. A strong understanding of the automotive market, particularly in fleet sales and leasing services, is essential.

We’re looking for someone with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Proven experience as a Key Account Manager, Sales Manager, or a similar role within the automotive industry
  • A deep understanding of the automotive market, including fleet sales, leasing, and customer needs
  • A degree in business management or equivalent experience in the automotive industry is preferred
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce) and MS Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Swedish, with fluency in English
