Oil Trading Analyst Intern

Hengli is looking for talented and motivated individuals to participate in our dynamic internship program. Internship vacancies are available in our Crude Oil, Fuel Oil, Petrochemical, and Derivatives departments.

Job Description

[Fuel Oil & Derivatives]

• Understanding global oil flows
• Monitoring supply and demand fundamentals
• Staying on top of macro events that impact the oil market
• Present key findings to the trading team
  

[Crude Oil & Petrochemical]

• Maintain and optimise daily data updates including Python scripts, PowerQuery pulls, and database archival

• Set up and automate new data pulls from various information sources such as APIs, Excel/CSV files, Excel add-ins and web scraping

• Build, maintain and enhance Power BI Dashboards based on trading desk requirements
  

Requirements

• Be in at least second year, preferably third year, of undergraduate studies
• Be able to work independently
• Be fast and decisive to make insightful interpretations
• Have strong understanding of macroeconomics

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Strong coding ability and familiarity with data management best practices preferred

• Familiarity with PowerQuery and PowerBI is a plus
• Be a strong communicator in both English and Mandarin
• Leave of Absence from school will be required , able to commit from 11 Dec 2024 – 6 Jun 2025.
