APS 4 - Senior Administration Officer, Philanthropy

  • Administrative support role in a small team within the Office of the Director-General
  • Opportunity to work with philanthropic supporters and colleagues across the Library
  • Varied role, incorporating financial, communication and administrative tasks

As a world leading library, the National Library of Australia offers an innovative and collaborative workplace where exceptional team players and technical specialists can flourish. As part of the Library’s team, you will help support organisational reform, working collaboratively with your team to shape the Library’s future.

The Library is seeking to fill an ongoing APS4 Senior Administration Officer role in the Philanthropy Section of the Office of the Director-General.

This role plays an important part in providing administrative support for the Office of the Director-General’s work to raise philanthropic support for the National Library.

As part of a team of five, this role is responsible for a range of administrative functions, including administration of all financial transactions, updating of information in the Library’s Raiser’s Edge and Content Manager systems, supporting procurement activities, assisting with the delivery of events, and maintaining relevant information on the Library’s website.

This is an administrative role, rather than a fundraising role.

We are seeking a capable, articulate, motivated colleague who displays courtesy and discretion, works well with others, and possesses strong attention to detail. Experience in administration is highly desirable. An interest in philanthropic fundraising and the work of the National Library is welcome but not required.

We encourage and welcome applications from people with disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, LGBTIQA+ people, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and mature age people.
