Bank Julius Baer (BJB) has launched a multi-year initiative to modernise our core infrastructure for Banking Operations, CFO and Markets. Its scope has been refined to tackle key technology gaps and risks, prioritising operational resilience. It plays a crucial role in delivering high quality and seamless services with the focus on efficiency and accuracy towards its clients. The program will streamline the operating model prioritising our primary Booking Centres and implement Temenos Transact to replace the Core Banking System and address key operational risks. As part of this multi-year large core platform transformation programme, we are looking for mutliple Product Owners for the new Core Banking platform to drive and deliver the objectives of the program. KEY FEATURES OF THE POSITION
Project Scoping
- Participate in the project as product owner for Core Banking
- Drive definition of epics/initiatives/features and user stories manage the backlog (including functional, non-functional, legal and operational requirements) for core banking
- Partner with all relevant business stakeholders to ensure requirements for Core Banking meet their needs
- Focus on customer value and continuously drive product improvements and roadmap
- Facilitate timeline and budget estimates and drive the squad to deliver as per plan
- Set up project governance and project team
Project Delivery
- Support the overall Product Manager in Product Increment (PI) planning and review
- Ensure solutions are strategic whenever possible with an eye on future macro-developments
- Drive coordination of key initiatives to enable consistency in the product roadmap
- Establish project plan, identify key milestones, critical path and dependencies
- Examine project progress and maintain project plan
- Identify, track and resolve risks and issues that may arise during the lifecycle of the project; proactively propose mitigating actions
- Ensures that all deliverables are provided on-time and on-quality by institutionalizing appropriate quality checks
- Coordinate preparation and execution of User Acceptance Testing and User sign-off
- Issue regular & accurate project status reports and institute progress meetings to keep stakeholders informed
Change Management and Communications
- Support communication and training
- Manage interactions and communication with stakeholders
- Work with Business Sponsor to ensure operational readiness of business after project go-live
- Support design and execution of training plan
- Communicate key changes and workarounds to clients and users
Regulatory Responsibilities &/OR Risk Management
- Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations

YOUR PROFILE
SKILLS REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION
Professional and Technical
- Minimum 10 years of experience in private banking
- 8+ years’ experience with agile delivery approaches, ideally working experience as a product owner or similar role
- Experience in working with T24 must have
- Through understanding of private banking value chain and good understanding of core processes such as advisory and investment management and the typical PB product landscape
- Strong expertise in digital products and services in Private Banking
- Good understanding of business processes, process design, and process re-engineering
- Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgement assertiveness
- Experience in finding operational synergies and performing impact analysis on business models, tools and processes
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and taking a hands-on approach

- Analytical and understands a broad range of technologies; keeps up to date with market and technology trends
- Ability to drive and demonstrate strong end-product orientation
