Quality Control Technician

ChampionX has an immediate need for a Quality Control Technician (Summer Student). located in Edmonton, AB. This is your opportunity to join a growing company and develop industry experience.

What You Will Do:

• Prepare and perform hardness testing
• Prepare samples for metallography
• Assist with data collection and entry
• Understand and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
• Contribute to the department continuous improvement culture.
• Maintain a clean and well-organized work area.
• Maintain confidentiality of all matters.
• Other duties as required.

Position Details:

• Working at the Edmonton facility exclusively
• Temporary/Fixed-term
• 20-40 hours per week, varies based on demands
• Mainly working day shift operations

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current enrollment in an Engineering program, preferably Materials Engineering, through a recognized post-secondary institution
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Suite programs
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Physical Demands

• Pre-employment testing including drug & alcohol, vision, auditory, background check and physical demands assessment required upon hire
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
