Position Overview

Our client, an innovative leader in the environmental services industry, is seeking a dynamic and driven Regional Account Manager (RAM) to join their team! This exciting opportunity involves working remotely, with a focus on servicing the Midwest region, including Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for driving growth, building relationships, and contributing to the continued success of our client’s expanding services.

The RAM will play a crucial role in selling cutting-edge environmental due diligence products and services used in environmental site assessments for commercial real estate transactions. With a mix of product expertise, organizational skills, and a customer-first approach, you’ll help shape the future of environmental solutions and build lasting relationships that lead to customer success and revenue growth.

Location: Remote / work from home, but the candidate must reside in Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, or Indiana.

What You’ll Do:

  • Maximize and grow revenue across the Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana regions, building relationships with targeted customers while developing and executing sales strategies for prospects in these territories. Our client reserves the right to adjust territories as needed to support business growth.

  • Generate new leads and identify strategies to grow sales opportunities locally and nationally, while consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Articulate our client’s unique value proposition, showcasing its innovative solutions to all levels of a customer organization, and use specialized knowledge to close sales successfully.

  • Work closely with the Vice President of Marketing to develop impactful sales materials that will elevate the business.

  • Participate actively on social media and other professional platforms to boost lead generation and overall brand awareness.

  • Engage with industry-specific organizations to further enhance the organization’s visibility and generate new opportunities.

  • Meet with a diverse mix of customers-corporations, lenders, and environmental consultants-completing a minimum of 36 meetings per month (30 in-person, 6 virtual). Log all interactions in Salesforce.com.

  • Embrace other tasks as required to support our client’s success.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Identifying sales opportunities within existing accounts and prospecting for new clients to build long-term relationships.

  • Creating and executing strategies to grow the client base and maximize retention in your assigned region.

  • Researching potential customers through Salesforce.com, tracking trends, and staying ahead of competitors.

  • Delivering product demonstrations to highlight the unique advantages of our client’s solutions.

  • Executing sales strategies to ensure successful delivery of products to new customers.

  • Utilizing Salesforce.com to manage all client communications and record all meetings and calls.

  • Exceeding sales goals by fostering meaningful relationships, utilizing consultative selling, and strategically growing accounts.

  • Traveling monthly throughout your assigned territory to meet with clients face-to-face and build strong connections.


Experience and Skills:

What You’ll Need:

  • Experience in an environmental-related industry is a plus.

  • A passion for geography and spatial concepts would be a fantastic asset!

  • A proven track record in sales and relationship building, with a hunger to drive business success.

  • Strong organizational skills and a knack for managing complex sales processes.
