Remote Expense Analyst (Construction Industry)

Position Overview:

The Remote Expense Analyst is a fully remote role supporting a construction company, operating in the EST (Eastern Standard Time) zone. This position focuses on the detailed review and analysis of expenses related to materials and rented equipment, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and cost efficiency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of effective collaboration in a remote environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Expense Review: Examine receipts, invoices, and financial documents related to materials and rented equipment for construction projects. Ensure all submitted expenses are accurate, properly documented, and comply with company policies.

2. Discrepancy Identification: Identify errors, inconsistencies, or potential fraud in expense submissions related to materials and equipment. Escalate discrepancies to relevant teams and assist in resolving them.

3. Policy Compliance: Validate that all material and equipment expenses adhere to company policies and project budgets. Provide clarification on expense policies as needed to internal stakeholders.

4. Insights & Cost Optimization: Analyze expense trends for materials and rented equipment to identify inefficiencies or areas for cost savings. Prepare actionable recommendations to improve procurement and expense management processes.

5. Reporting: Generate detailed reports summarizing material and equipment expenses for management review. Assist in tracking expenses against project budgets and providing insights for better cost control.

6. Remote Collaboration: Communicate with project managers, procurement teams, and finance departments through virtual tools to address expense-related inquiries. Ensure accurate and organized documentation to support audits and compliance checks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other tools for financial analysis and reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in expense management or financial analysis within the construction industry. Familiarity with construction-related material and equipment costs. Knowledge of compliance requirements and industry standards for expense management.

Work Environment:

Fully remote position with working hours aligned to the EST time zone.

Requires a reliable internet connection and a professional home office setup. This role is ideal for candidates with strong analytical skills, a focus on accuracy, and expertise in managing expenses related to materials and rented equipment within the construction industry

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php50,000.00 - Php80,000.00 per month

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
