Warehouse General Operative

Job Description

Quality Food Network have immediate availability for a Warehouse Operative.

This is an exciting role which will be of interest to any candidate looking to progress their careers in the Warehouse logistics/ Food Distribution Sector. The role will involve joining an existing team and assisting with day to day operations.

The role also has flexible shifts available for suitable candidates.

Duties of Role:

-Responsible for controlling goods in and out of the warehouse.

-Preparing pallets for delivery to customers and loading/unloading deliveries

- Enforcing and Maintaining all Health and Safety procedures relating to both warehouse and logistic operations.

-Ensure effective and proper use of warehouse machinery & minimise damage to company assets at all times

-Suitable candidate will be strong and active as there is a large element of manual handling in this role

This role is suitable for someone who has experience and a good understanding of warehouse and logistical operations.

Suitable candidates will have :

-Industry experience

-valid manual handling certification

-valid forklift licence (beneficial)

-strong verbal and written English

Job Duties:

• Load and unload lorries in a safe and efficient manner
• Move and stack materials
• Rotate floor stock
• General housekeeping duties in the warehouse or production area and duties as assigned
• Perform general warehouse duties in order to maintain a smooth operation
• Receive/process shipments
