Warehouse Operative/General Operative/Forklift Driver

Primary role is to provide accurate and prompt book-in, picking, packing and dispatch of stock being delivered to our main depot. This role also includes other general duties to maintain the efficient working of large warehouse and distribution center.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this role will operate within a team environment with an emphasis on safety and quality. There must be a commitment to continuous improvement, teamwork, personal development and delivery of best in-class service to support both internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Goods inward activity and controls
  • Off-loading tyres and steel rims using counterbalance Forklifts.
  • Check material quality, and quantity against delivery documents.
  • Stock sorting, marking/labelling and putting away stock to specific locations.
  • Stock check accuracy
  • Goods outward activity and controls
  • Pick, pack and load customer orders to achieve agreed turn-around targets
  • Interface with couriers/our own fleet to load orders for dispatch to external customers
  • Adhere to ‘advise’ and documentation controls
  • Segregate, record and report defective or damaged material
  • Investigate and implement appropriate corrective action following; errors, customer complaints, internal workplace audits etc.
  • Maintain a safe work environment complying with Health & Safety and Operational procedures.

Skills /Experience:

  • Valid Forklift License an advantage but not essential as training will be provided..
  • Manual handling certificate an advantage but not essential as training will be provided
  • Previous Warehouse Experience highly desirable, ideally within a fast-paced industry.
  • Leaving Certificate completed.
  • Literate in Microsoft Office or the equivalent. Ability to learn business information systems.
  • Excellent verbal and strong written communication skills
  • Ability to use time productively, maximise efficiency and meet challenging work goals.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pending monthly probation period.

Schedule

  • 8 hour shift (hours may vary)

Pay: €27,000.00-€30,000.00 per year
