Accommodation Manager

Rochestown Park Hotel - Douglas, Cork currently seeks a dynamic, ambitious, self motivated and Experienced Accommodation Manager to join its Senior Management Team.

Days of Work - 5 / 7

Hours of Work - Full Time 40 per week

Some Key Duties

  • To manage the Accommodation department, ensuring consistent high standards of guest accommodation services and public area cleaning process.
  • To lead, motivate and encourage a strong Accommodation team
  • To co-ordinate and manage the daily operations of a busy fast paced environment whilst ensuring training process and SOP procedures are in place.
  • To prepare rosters for your department in advance taking in to account the business demands, forecasts and to ensure that sufficient cover is available to meet those needs.
  • Effectively manage all budgets, stock control and ordering processes.
  • Oversee the effective running of the inhouse laundry operation as well as linen room operations to ensure adequate stock levels at all times
  • To implement, plan, monitor and record deep cleaning requirements within the department and public area environment

Requirements:

  • Strong people management, development and leadership skills with approachable management style and experience in delivery of very high standards through department.
  • Previous 4/5 star experience managing an Accommodation department
  • Communicate very well in English both verbally and written
  • An organised and quality led approach to the department with ability to multitask
  • Will have a natural, hands-on approach in ensuring that exceptional customer service is delivered to all guests at all times with an enthusiastic “can do“ approach
  • Resilient and capable of working under pressure in a fast paced environment a distinct advantage
  • Energetic, Friendly, Approachable, Professional, Courteous and Well Groomed
  • Working knowledge of Opera Cloud PMS or equivalent system
  • Experience managing KPIs, budgets and forecasting
  • Hands on experience of roster creation, training plans, departmental administration, labour cost management and forecast.
