About the Role:
Are you ready for a dynamic and rewarding challenge? As the Accommodation Manager, you will take charge of leading and managing all aspects of our Accommodation department, working closely with the General Manager and Deputy General Manager to drive excellence across the hotel.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of service for our guests and employees by overseeing the cleanliness, presentation, and smooth operation of our guest rooms and public areas. Daily checks will be part of your routine to ensure everything is spotless and in top condition, creating an unforgettable experience for everyone who walks through our doors.
This is more than just maintaining standards – it’s about identifying opportunities for improvement, collaborating across departments, and ensuring that everything runs efficiently, from reporting maintenance issues to optimising operational processes. You’ll manage the department’s budget, keeping financial targets in sight while maintaining the exceptional service that makes us stand out.

Key Responsibilities:
In this active hands-on position, you will be responsible to (non-conclusive list):
- Champion the company vision and inspire your team to uphold our high standards.
- Take charge of all accommodation operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain top-notch cleanliness and quality.
- Lead and motivate your team, managing staffing levels and schedules effectively.
- Manage department budgets, procurement, and inventory to meet financial goals.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to deliver seamless guest experiences.
- Tackle maintenance issues swiftly to keep rooms and public areas in perfect shape.
- Oversee waste management, linen returns, and key security with attention to detail.
- Respond to guest requests with enthusiasm, ensuring a memorable stay.
- Identify training opportunities and support your team’s growth and development.
- Conduct performance reviews, address issues, and drive team success.
- Foster a positive, energetic environment while promoting sustainability initiatives.
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualification in Hotel Management preferred but not required.
- At least 5 years Senior Accommodation experience in a 4/5-star hotel required
- Previous experience as an Assistant Accommodation Manager or current Accommodation Manager looking for the next career challenge.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to foster collaboration between departments and engage effectively with diverse teams and guests.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, property management software (e.g., Hotsoft, Opera), and other operational tools such as ProcureWizard and Alkimii.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to prepare and manage departmental budgets, balancing financial goals with maintaining high service standards.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a team while maintaining service excellence.
- Highly organised with the ability to efficiently manage schedules, timelines, and department operations, ensuring all targets and deadlines are met.
- Exceptional focus on cleanliness, safety, presentation, and overall guest experience.
- Experienced in conducting performance reviews, managing probation periods, and addressing competency issues using appropriate HR processes.
- Flexible and proactive, with the ability to step into other roles or assist other departments as business needs demand.
- Strong problem-solving skills to resolve team conflicts, guest concerns, and operational challenges efficiently and effectively.
- Commitment to implementing and driving sustainability and waste reduction practices within the department.
- Energetic, approachable, and customer-focused, fostering a positive team environment and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
- Willingness to work a variable schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- A proactive leader who leads by example, ensuring operational excellence and guest satisfaction.
- A positive and highly adaptive outlook and a can-do attitude, defaulting to a "YES" when assessing the feasibility of tasks.
- Ability to stand for extended period of times, and lift heavy items (with assistance as per Manual Handling Best Practice)
