Job Description

Accountant

The Accountant position will report directly to the Controller and will primarily be responsible for accounting, financial reporting, and internal control activities. This role will interact directly with different areas of the organization including operations and sales.

Responsibilities:

• Cash balancing and reconciliation.
• Reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
• Preparing accounting schedules required to accurately produce monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Respond to accounting and financial questions by researching and analyzing data.
• Participate in reviews and audits with the accounting team.
• Assist with preparing and filing various state and local tax returns.
• Other duties and projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Accounting experience is preferred.
• Experience with accounting ERP systems is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

• High attention to detail.
• An analytical approach.
• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of GAAP.
• Ability to prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and account analysis.
• Ability to prepare financial statements and variance analysis to ensure completeness and accuracy of results.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word).
• Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
