Accountant

Duties

  • Cash reporting and forecasting
  • Bank account reconciliations
  • Reconcile and balance credit card accounts monthly
  • Reconcile and monitor all loan balances - monthly and quarterly
  • Oversee accounts receivable and collection functions
  • All accounts payable and vendor maintenance functions
  • Monthly floorplan company reconciliations
  • Reconcile serialized inventory for purchases and sales.
  • Monitor and manage pay-as- sold whole goods and parts payables.
  • Purchase order report monitoring
  • Fund and execute payroll account transfers
  • Monthly and quarterly sales tax preparation and filing for three companies
  • Highway Use Tax and Heavy Vehicle Tax preparation and submission for fleet vehicles
  • Inventory controls and monitoring of retail location
  • Monthly internal financial statements preparation in accounting systems
  • Year-end tax work paper preparations for submission to CPA for on time filing of returns
  • Administrative / office support when needed
  • Work with other members of the staff to help provide effective, efficient, and enjoyable customer experiences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft or similar platforms; advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are essential.
  • Knowledge of financial analysis techniques including cash flow analysis and account analysis.
  • Experience with account reconciliation procedures for general ledger accounts and bank statements.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles along with experience in financial statement preparation and interpretation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective financial report writing and presentation of findings.
  • Knowledge of floor plan financing is preferred, but not required.

Pay: $63,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
