Accountant (East)

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full spectrum of daily finance activities, maintaining accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
• Track and manage project-related expenses, including manpower, materials, and subcontractor costs, ensuring proper allocation to respective projects.
• Prepare and issue project billings and claims promptly in line with contract milestones.
• Collaborate with internal departments to verify that all invoices are correctly processed and reflected in the accounting records.
• Work closely with procurement, project, and vendor teams to resolve any inconsistencies in invoices or supporting documents.
• Handle monthly and annual closing of accounts, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial data.
• Assist in audit preparations and ensure full compliance with statutory requirements, including corporate tax and GST reporting.
• Review petty cash submissions from project sites and ensure proper reconciliation and documentation.
• Administer vendor payment schedules and support preparation of payment-related cash flow forecasts.
• Develop revenue estimates and spending forecasts to assist management in financial planning and budgeting.
• Participate in special assignments or projects as requested by management.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
• Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of GST reporting and compliance.
Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
