Accountant – General Ledger, Tax & Treasury

The Accountant General Ledger, Tax & Treasury is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and effective cash management for Philippine and Australian entities. This role supports month-end closing, statutory compliance, treasury operations, and audit requirements while ensuring adherence to internal controls, accounting standards (PAS/PFRS), and regulatory guidelines.

The role will work closely with cross-functional teams (AR, AP, and external auditors) to ensure timely reporting, regulatory compliance, and efficient financial processes.

General Ledger

• Prepares month-end journal entries in compliance with internal controls and accounting standards (PAS, PFRS)
• Assist the Team Leader in closing process, ensuring all journal entries and reconciliations are completed accurately and on time
• Support external audit, collaborating with other teams in preparing schedules, responding to queries and address audit findings
• Establish reliable and efficient filing of documents for audit purposes
• Prepare reports and analysis, as needed

Tax

• Prepare and file tax returns based on tax regulations and deadlines
• Monitor changes in tax regulations, advice tax implications and implement as applicable to the business
• Support tax audits, collaborating with other teams in preparing schedules, responding to queries and address audit findings
• Assist in tax compliance review and recommends process improvement
• Establish reliable and efficient filing of documents for audit purposes

Treasury

• Prepare month-end journal entries related to Cash and foreign currency denominated transactions
• Prepare weekly cash forecast, collaborating with AR and AP teams on collection and payment estimates and be able to explain variances vs. actual
• Ensure compliance with company policies, bank regulations and best practices
• Establish reliable and efficient filing of documents for audit purposes

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
• CPA, an advantage
• With at least 3 years of work experience in General Ledger and Tax, in a multi-national company or complex organization under a computerized accounting setup; Well versed in PH taxation.
• Strong knowledge in MS Excel and other reporting tools;
• Experience in the use of Microsoft D365, an advantage;
• Strong attention to details, very analytical and with good communication skills
• Works in office/hybrid setting; reports to the Team Leader; with regular interaction with Finance Controller, Finance team, FP&A, and other departments
