Job Summary

This position will assist the accounting departments of the Foundations - CSU Foundation, Inc., CSU Athletic Fund, Inc., and Alumni Association, Inc. - while collaborating with institutional offices that manage or award foundational dollars to ensure alignment, transparency, and full compliance with institutional policies, funding requirements, and donor intent. The role fosters effective communication and partnership among stakeholders to strengthen stewardship, accountability, and the responsible utilization of foundational resources.

Responsibilities

Significant Duties & Responsibilities include: General Accounting Duties - Calculate 5% administrative fees on temporarily restricted gifts. Reconcile Alumni Association and Athletic Fund monthly bank statements. Reconcile monthly investment statements to the Excel Schedule supporting the general ledger balances. Prepare the capital projects reports monthly. Prepare monthly Schwob School of Music budget reports monthly. Provide balances for all projects as requested by the departments. Audits and balances accounts and resolves any discrepancies. Prepares journal entries as needed. Prepares monthly financial statements for the three foundations.; Accounts Payable - Enter accounts payable invoices into the accounting system. Review coding of invoices to determine properly coded according to the donor intentions. Match invoices with printed checks and prepare for mailing. Mail or distribute checks. Maintain accounts payable filing system. Prepare payment requests for department.; Scholarship Coordinator - Maintain and update scholarship information on endowed, restricted and annually funded scholarship funds. Reconcile scholarship information with Accounting, Financial Aid and Gift Processing. Liaison for the Foundation with Financial Aid and various departments.; General Matters - Assist with audits, specifically to include maintain the stock gift reports, completing all related party reports, and provide information as requested during audit. Assists accounting staff with research and reports, reconciliation set-up. Maintain the monthly investment statements and reconcile the balances. Backup as needed. Handles inquiries and ad hoc report requests. Take minutes at various board committee meeting. Verify petty cash monthly. Prepare invoices as needed. Reports to the Controller. Other duties as needed.

Required Qualifications

Required Qualifications include: Bachelor's degree or higher

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications include: Experience with Raiser's Edge and Financial Edge preferred.; Experience in a non-profit organization preferred.

Proposed Salary

The proposed annualized salary range for this position is $46,842 - $51,198 and includes full benefits.

Conditions of Employment
