Accountant/Bookkeeper

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant/Book-keeper to join our finance department at The Boat Yard Inc., one of the South's largest boat dealerships. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial records and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, along with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records by managing debits and credits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure all business
• Conduct bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage payroll to be submitted to an outsourced payroll company.
• Perform double entry bookkeeping to maintain the integrity of financial data.

Skills

• Strong understanding of debits and credits in accounting practices.
• Proficiency in payroll management and related compliance issues.
• Experience with accounting softwares Quickbooks.
• Expertise in double entry bookkeeping techniques.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills for account analysis and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with bank reconciliation processes and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred.
• 5+ years in accounting experience preferred.
• Proficient in account software including QuickBooks.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
