Accounting Head

The Accounting Head is responsible for overseeing all financial activities, reporting, budgeting, and financial forecasting within an organization. They ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, manage the accounting team, and contribute to financial strategy and policy development. Their goal is to ensure financial integrity, accuracy, and efficient financial operations that support the organization’s goals and growth.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Financial Reporting and Analysis

• Prepare and analyze accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Develop and monitor performance metrics to provide insights on financial health and trends. Ensure timely completion of all financial and accounting reports

2. Budgeting and Forecasting

• Lead the budgeting process and collaborate with department heads to develop budgets.
• Oversee regular financial forecasting, highlighting key variances and areas of concern.
• Provide insights and strategic recommendations based on financial data.

3. Compliance and Internal Controls

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and manage audits.
• Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent financial fraud.
• Implement and update accounting policies as per legal standards and best practices.

4. Leadership and Team Management

• Manage, mentor, and develop the accounting team, ensuring performance and accountability.
• Foster a positive work environment and provide professional development opportunities.
• Collaborate with other departments to support the organization's financial goals.

5. Strategic Planning and Financial Strategy

• Work with executive leadership to develop and implement long-term financial strategies.
• Assess financial performance, analyze profitability, and recommend improvements. Identify and address areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

6. Tax Planning and Risk Management

• Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and compliance with tax regulations.
• Identify potential financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Oversee the management of financial records and archival processes.
