Accounting Manager (Cpa)

Job Description:

1. Oversee Accounting Operations

  • Supervise and manage daily accounting operations to ensure the team's efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain accounting controls through a complete and accurate chart of accounts, and define clear accounting policies and procedures.
  • Lead and manage changes within the finance function.

2. Build and Develop a Reliable Accounting Team

  • Recruit, select, orient, and train team members.
  • Oversee team members' welfare and professional growth, including assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining.
  • Communicate job expectations clearly and effectively. Plan, monitor, appraise, and review team contributions.

3. Process Improvement, Automation, and Policy Development

  • Develop and implement accounting procedures, policies, and standards to ensure robust internal controls, efficient processes, and timely financial data processing.
  • Lead initiatives for accounting automation and digitization.

4. Maintain Data Integrity and Ensure Compliance

  • Establish internal controls to maintain financial security.
  • Stay informed on current and proposed legislation, enforce accounting regulations, and recommend new procedures to avoid legal challenges.
  • Promote transparency and maintain confidentiality of financial data to protect company resources.
  • Ensure business strategies and operations conform to relevant laws and regulations.

5. Financial Reporting and Month-End Closing

  • Review and finalize monthly financial transactions and reports, ensuring timely submission.
  • Communicate financial data clearly, accurately, and promptly.
  • Confirm financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses, coordinating data collection and evaluation, and preparing special reports.

6. Continuous Learning and Business Acumen

  • Lead the accounting team in developing a thorough understanding of business acumen and financial analysis.
  • Support other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policies, and applying insights to operational issues.
  • Maintain and update job knowledge through educational opportunities, professional publications, personal networks, and participation in professional organizations.

Job Type: Full-time

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Makati: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • CPA (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
