Sodales Solutions Inc. is seeking an Accounting Manager (CPA, CGA) to oversee our company's accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and sound financial practices. A hands-on leader who can build and manage a team over time, analyze data, prepare reports, and advise on financial strategies to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision and Management:
Build and Direct the accounting department, including hiring, training, and supervising staff.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and review financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements), ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Financial Operations:
Oversee the company's financial transactions, including sales, purchases, expenses, and revenues.
Internal Controls:
Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial records and compliance with regulations.
Process Payroll and tax
Financial statements preparation
Data Analysis:
Analyze financial data, identify trends and anomalies, and provide insights to improve financial performance.
Auditing:
Coordinate with auditors for annual audits and ensure compliance with regulations.
Strategic Financial Planning:
Advise management on strategic financial decisions and contribute to long-term financial planning.
Process Improvement:
Regularly review and improve accounting department processes and procedures.
Our Accounting manager position requires a CPA with strong ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders regarding financial policies and processes. They also demand the following skills:
- Experience in personnel management, analytical accounting, and payroll administration.
- Must know accrual based accounting and preparation of financial statements on monthly and annual basis
- Prepare and submit invoices to clients and follow ups
- Proficiency in analytical accounting is essential for interpreting and using financial data for planning and decision-making.
- Knowledge of accounting standards. This includes international accounting standards, tax requirements, corporate laws, and other financial regulations to ensure the company's compliance.
- Financial analysis and report writing: must be able to interpret financial data, identify trends, anomalies, and write detailed reports. These reports are essential for presenting clear analyses to decision-makers, aiding in strategic planning, and providing recommendations for improving financial performance.
- Experience in account management: this includes managing and monitoring client (accounts receivable) and supplier (accounts payable) accounts, involving payment tracking, solving account-related problems, and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers and clients.
- Teamwork: accounting managers must work collaboratively with different departments within the company, requiring the ability to cooperate, share information, and contribute to common goals.
- Suggest and implement processes and financial systems to assist growth
