Accounting Officer (Certified Public Accountant)

Southwestern University Medical Center is looking for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to serve as Accounting Officer/Supervisor to support excellence in healthcare!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervises all Finance staff.
  • Prepares complete hospital financial statements.
  • Prepares schedule of accounts per Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts.
  • Prepares monthly analysis of the income statement accounts especially on the profit centers.
  • Review and approve the Journal Voucher adjustment before posting.
  • Review the professional summary.
  • Does the bank reconciliation
  • Prepares a lapsing schedule.
  • Prepares weekly and monthly cash flow projections.
  • Supervises promissory notes application.
  • Monitoring of budget vs. check disbursement request
  • Monitoring of BIZBOX.
  • Audit of company books (interim and year-end)
  • Provide accounts schedules/reports to auditors
  • Monitors and ensures that monthly government remittances are paid on time.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Has at least 1 year relevant experience especially in General Finance and Cost-Accounting roles
  • Possesses strong leadership skills
  • Has high attention to details, with good communication and customer service skills
