Spices USA, a leading importer and distributor of high-quality spices and seasonings, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Remote Accounts Payable Specialist based in El Salvador. This position offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic international team while supporting the financial integrity of a growing organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounts payable processes, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Invoice Management: Review, process, and obtain approval for a high volume of vendor invoices on a daily basis.
- Vendor Relations: Manage vendor audits, respond to inquiries, and process credit memos in a timely and professional manner.
- Accounts Payable Operations: Handle full-cycle accounts payable across multiple entities using accounting software.
- Payment Processing: Ensure timely and accurate payment of vendor bills while adhering to internal controls and company policies.
- Transaction Processing: Process payments, journal entries, and related transactions in alignment with monthly closing timelines.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile vendor accounts and investigate discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
- Process Improvement: Analyze and evaluate current accounts payable workflows and recommend process enhancements.
- Administrative Support: Assist with various administrative and financial tasks to support the finance department.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting function; experience with international vendors is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (SAP Preferred).
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive).
- Laptop i5, 10th gen minimum or IMD equivalent
- Internet connection of 20 mb
Competencies:
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Familiarity with handling accounts for multiple business entities.
