Acupuncturist (LAc / DACM) — Position Summary

Attunement Wellness is hiring an Acupuncturist to join our collaborative integrative clinic in Portland (Johns Landing— Not St. Johns). This role supports patients seeking pain relief, injury recovery, stress regulation, and whole-body wellness in a calm, evidence-informed setting. Our patient base includes weekend warriors, athletes, and dancers, sports injuries and performance care, repetitive stress strain, motor vehicle accidents, sprains/strains, migraines and headaches, pregnancy-related discomfort, TMJ dysfunction, and acute to chronic neck/mid-back/low-back pain, including upper and lower extremity conditions. You’ll work alongside chiropractic and massage therapy to deliver high-quality outcomes through team-based care.

Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care & Clinical Excellence

  • Provide thorough intake, assessment, and treatment planning based on patient goals
  • Deliver skilled acupuncture treatments tailored to pain patterns, function, and recovery needs
  • Provide clear patient education and supportive lifestyle/home-care recommendations
  • Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and professional clinical practice

Collaboration & Interdisciplinary Work

  • Coordinate care plans with chiropractors, acupuncturists and massage therapists as indicated
  • Communicate clearly with the team regarding patient progress, goals, and referrals
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a culture of learning and shared excellence
  • “Can-do” attitude & open to feedback,

Documentation & Administrative Duties

  • Complete timely, accurate charting aligned with clinic standards and compliance
  • Support efficient patient flow through clear internal communication
  • Follow clinic policies and contribute to smooth daily operations
  • Attend meetings and trainings as requested

Work Schedule & Conditions

Sample schedules (final schedule based on clinic needs):

- Shifts per week (minimum availability 20 hours a week):

  • 2 weekdays 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM or 11am - 7pm
  • Every other Saturday 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Optional weekday half-days: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM, 2:30 PM – 7:30 PM, and Saturdays

Expected structure:

  • Consistent weekly availability
  • Willingness to coordinate with a team-based care model
  • Comfort working in an active, injury-focused clinical environment, and general well-being
  • Manage time appropriately and be able to operate more than one room within an hour.

Qualifications & Success Factors

  • Active Oregon Acupuncture license (LAc) in good standing
  • NCCAOM certified
  • Understanding of billable procedure codes within the scope of practice.
  • Excellent communication: clear explanations, consent, and patient education
  • Team-oriented, coachable, reliable, and committed to continued growth
  • Comfortable treating a diverse caseload (sports injuries, repetitive strain, MVA, headaches, fertility, pregnancy support, TMJ, digestion)
  • Bonus (not required): sports medicine acupuncture training, orthopedic acupuncture certification, e-stim, cupping, gua sha, motor point work, or rehab integration
  • Preferred: orthopedic/MSK assessment skills and confidence treating pain/injury presentations

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $45.00 - $75.00 per hour
