Mō tēnei tūranga - about the role
As part of our payroll team, the Advisor Payroll is responsible for supporting the timely and accurate delivery of end-to-end payroll processes. You will be responsible for processing changes to personnel and payroll data including quality assurance and peer review, and providing advice which complies with varying employment agreements, relevant legislation and organisation policies. You will work with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure we are legally compliant and up to date information is being processed.
This is a Fixed Term or secondment position until 26 March 2027.
Ko tāu nā i tēnei tūranga - What you’ll bring to the role:
Bring your excellent focus and attention to detail to our payroll team. You will work well to deadlines and have a proven proactive approach. Your experience using a payroll software and your excellent attention to detail will be key to this position. You will have excellent relationship management as you will work closely with a wide variety of stakeholders including unions, HR, finance and others.
To be successful in this role, we’d expect you will:
- Working knowledge and understanding of New Zealand employment and payroll related legislation
- Experience providing support to payroll functions
- Familiarity and knowledge of payroll systems and practices
- The ability to accurately interpret terms and conditions in employment agreements and policies
- Intermediate MS Excel skills
