Universal Robina Corporation is looking for a Finance Analyst.
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving financial strategy, forecasting, and analysis to support key business decisions. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
What are the Roles and Responsibilities?
1. Financial data preparation, Reporting and Consolidation – Prepare consolidated financial statements in compliance with PFRS/IFRS and support periodic reporting requirements. Gather, validate, and consolidate financial data from subsidiaries, ensuring completeness and accuracy
2. Closing & Reporting Processes – Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, ensuring timely submission of reports (e.g. Flash reports, Excom, JG Group report submission)
3. Financial Analysis – Prepare variance analysis, trend, and ratio analyses and highlight key movements for management review and support adhoc financial analyis and special projects as required
4. Management & External Reporting – Prepare reports, schedules, and supporting analyses for internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Quarter and Annual Financial Statements)
5. Audit & Compliance Support – Assist in audit requirements, Financial Statements preparation (quarter and annual reports), maintain reporting templates/systems, and ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal policies.
6.Business Partnering & Planning Support – Coordinate and collaborate with business units (Domestic & International) on data requirements and provide support for budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc analysis, including active involvement in finance-related projects
What are the Qualifications?
1. In-depth knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
3. Proficiency in Finanacial Management Systems, Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Consolidation Tool (e.g. BPC, Onestream, SAP or similar)
4. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. High level of integrity and professionalism.
