A&M's established European Financial & Operational Restructuring practice advises companies, investors and lender groups in complex restructuring processes to evaluate the risks and opportunities of a company's business plan, manage short term liquidity pressure, stabilise financial and operational performance, assess restructuring options, be the lead financial advisor through a restructuring transaction and implement comprehensive profitability, working capital improvements and restructuring solutions in order to maximize outcomes for our clients. Working directly with company boards and management teams on behalf of our clients, A&M stabilises crisis situations, drives agreement between stakeholders and creates a stable platform to drive growth.
As a result of our growth, A&M Nordics are recruiting ambitious Analysts or Associates to join our Stockholm team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build a career in advisory with the leading global name in Restructuring and to help & support our clients with the financial implications of high interest and high inflation environment and the inter-related economic, inequality and security emergencies resulting from it.
As part of a select and highly skilled team you will have the opportunity to:
- Advise companies, investors, lenders or any other stakeholders facing distressed situations; assess Group-level financial & operational performance in addition to the financial viability of subsidiary companies to advise on actions needed to ensure a viable capital structure
- In close collaboration with C-suite company management, perform detailed financial analysis of business plans and cash flow projections, underpinning key drivers of the business and quantify potential risks or opportunities in a short- to medium-term horizon, to agree a balanced business plan to be used in negotiations with stakeholders as a common information platform
- Evaluate restructuring options and advise on contingency planning ahead of negotiations for a distressed debt and / or equity transaction, including quantifying financial implications of key financing terms (In close collaboration with legal advisors) for both the company and other stakeholders such as lenders or shareholders
- Assist c-suite Management in preparation of business plans and implementation of 13-week cash flow forecasting, including financial modelling, financial planning and business plan reporting
Develop trusted relationships with key stakeholders in the Nordics and European Restructuring community through the delivery of value added client engagements
The person:
- Strong academic background with 1-3 years' experience within Financial Advisory (M&A, Restructuring, Due Diligence, debt financing etc.)
- Experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses combined with exposure to constructing fully integrated three-statement financial models and analysing financial underperformance.
- Solid understanding of fundamental accounting and finance
- Ability to build relationships within a team and with clients
- Fluent business level Swedish and English is essential
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint)
