The Application Architect is responsible for the design and development of the business logic layer within the Jeeves ERP system. This role ensures that the architecture supports scalability, maintainability, and alignment with core business processes across Finance, Supply Chain and Manufacturing modules. The position requires a solid understanding of ERP systems, experience from cloud-native architectures and agile development methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Own the design and evolution of the application logic layer, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and alignment with business processes across Finance, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing modules.
- Act as a key driver in Jeeves ERP’s cloud transformation journey, identifying architectural improvements and leading initiatives to modernize legacy components into scalable, cloud-native services.
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, and QA teams to define and implement architectural standards and best practices.
- Conduct performance optimization, code reviews, and provide technical guidance to development teams.
- Research and evaluate new technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance the ERP system’s capabilities.
- Ensure documentation of architectural decisions, system designs, and technical specifications.
- Mentor and support junior architects and developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise application development, preferably ERP.
- 2+ years of experience in software architecture or technical leadership roles.
- Proven experience designing and optimizing business logic in complex systems.
- Experience with cloud-native architectures (e.g., Azure, AWS) and microservices.
- Strong SQL Server expertise.
- Familiarity with modern backend frameworks (.NET, Java, etc.).
- Understanding of CI/CD, containerization, and DevOps practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English and Swedish.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar field, or demonstrated equivalent experience.
