Asphalt Foreman

We are looking for a Paving Foreman to join our talented and award winning team for projects throughout Southern California.

Classification (Exempt/Non-Exempt): Non-Exempt (hourly) & full-time

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Oversee and supervise daily operations of Asphalt Paving Crews including safety, quality, and personnel management.
• Support of HHCI safety & health programs, including daily tailgate meetings, accident investigations, and development and implementation of corrective action plans. Enforcement of all safety & environmental policies, and all applicable OSHA rules and regulations.
• Provide guidance and development of hourly personnel to meet performance requirements.
• Schedule work for paving crews in consultation with Project Managers, Inspectors and Grading Superintendents.
• Applicant should possess excellent communication, leadership and management skills. Travel and ability to manage field operations required.
• Ability to supervise all trades and willingness to perform various trades as necessary
• Must be able to walk through rough construction sites and lift 50 pounds from the ground

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as Paving Foreman or Superintendent
• Must have supervisory skills handling crews ranging from 6-10 people
• Must maintain high quality workmanship
• Must be capable and proficient interacting with asphalt plants, and being able to achieve accurate cut-offs
• Experience with Paving Roadways, Parking Lots and Repairs
• Ability to travel throughout Southern CA
• Experience in Microsoft Office applications with a proficiency in Excel and Word
• Ability to pass drug test and physical
• Clean driving record/valid drivers’ license

Pay: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour
