Location: Upper Midwest (Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North/South Dakota, Montana, Nebraska, and Colorado)

Salary: $32.05-$42.49 + Benefits

Responsibilities:

APRS is seeking dedicated and skilled Asphalt Mill Operators to join our team.

  • Operate and maintain asphalt milling equipment to efficiently and safely correct payment deficiencies such as cross slope, surface drainage, and smoothness.
  • Remove old or damaged asphalt, gravel, or concrete base layers and prepare surfaces for paving or rework.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, procedures, and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on milling equipment, such as greasing, cleaning, and minor repairs, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor the milling process to ensure that the depth and width of the milling cut meet project specifications and quality standards.
  • Assist in the transportation of the milling machine as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate work activities and ensure efficient project execution.
  • Maintain and communicate accurate records of work performed and any issues encountered during milling operations.
  • Be available for other tasks and projects as required.
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience operating asphalt milling equipment is beneficial but not required.
  • Knowledge of asphalt paving and construction processes is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Valid Class A License with the ability to obtain hazardous materials and tanker endorsements.
  • Current DOT medical card and acceptable motor vehicle record.
