Assistant Accommodation Manager

Knightsbrook Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort are an Irish owned company and is part of the Cusack Group, with sister properties in Meath including Castle Arch Hotel, Ardboyne Hotel and Newgrange Hotel. Our hotel is located in Trim, 30 mins from Dublin Airport and 15 minutes from Newgrange.

Our 131 room hotel and 28 self-catering holiday homes includes, fine dining restaurant, lounge, Swifts Bar, The River Spa, Health centre and pool and our award winning 18 hole resort golf course designed by Christy O’Connor junior.

The hotel is currently seeking to recruit enthusiastic and knowledgeable Assistant Accommodation Manager to join their professional and highly skilled Housekeeping team. Job Summary:
The accommodation assistant manager assists the accommodation manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of lodging facilities. They play a key role in ensuring guest satisfaction, managing staff, and maintaining the quality standards of the establishment.

  • Guest Relations:
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing concerns and resolving issues effectively.
  • Staff Supervision and Training:
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising accommodation staff members.
  • Schedule shifts and assign duties to ensure adequate coverage and smooth operations.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to staff to enhance performance and guest service.
  • Operational Management:
  • Oversee daily operations, including housekeeping, front desk, and maintenance departments.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing departments to ensure adequate supplies.
  • Conduct regular inspections of rooms and common areas to maintain cleanliness and quality standards.
  • Administrative Tasks:
  • Assist in budget planning and cost control measures to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of occupancy, revenue, and expenses.
  • Prepare reports for management regarding occupancy rates, guest satisfaction, and operational performance.
  • Safety and Security:
  • Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols to provide a safe environment for guests and staff.
  • Implement emergency procedures and train staff on proper protocols.
  • Address any safety concerns or issues promptly and effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in hotel management or hospitality industry required.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and customer service orientation.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Knowledge of safety and security regulations and procedures.
