Job Description
Assistant Finance Manager
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Ensure the accuracy and timely submission of monthly and year-end management reports and analysis by reviewing submissions from subordinates;
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities; ensure that all is submitted timely.
- Strong in analysis of financial numbers; and to highlight any discrepancies or issues;
- Strong relevant accounting knowledge and updates of relevant Accounting Standards and company policy to ensure books are maintained in compliance and order;
- Providing support with various reporting including GST, treasury, investment returns, etc.
- Providing commentaries on operational performance and support operational planning, operations, and implementation of financial and internal controls
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the implementation of best practices; and this may include review of policies and continual process re-engineering.
- Assist and support projects/group tasks/duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accountancy or any professional qualifications (ACCA/CA)
- At least 5 years of financial accounting/reporting/finance operations experience
- System knowledge in Sap B1 or other ERP, proficient with excel.
- Ethical, reliable, independent, meticulous, hands on, responsible and goals driven.
- Must be hands on also to do accounting work if needed (eg posting of JEs, etc)
- Possess clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to work in teams
- Ability to adapt and open to work requirement in a fast-paced environment
- Have positive "can do" attitude when faced with challenges
- Meticulous and able to work independently
- Comfortable to work with various stakeholders
Qualifications
