The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager Role
As Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, you will, together with the F&B Manager, lead a team of sophisticated hosts with an instinctive ability to anticipate guests’ needs by being in the right place at the right time and delivering an experience that is beyond expectation - creating memorable moments for our guests.

The Assistant F&B Manager will have the main responsibility for the Meeting & Events’ department, including planning, operations, and ensuring that the execution of events is in line with the guests’ vision. The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager also plays a key role for overall F&B operations and administration, as second in command and right hand to the F&B Manager.

Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager:

• Ensures compliance with specifications of meetings and events orders by working closely with Meetings & Events Sales and involving the Food & Beverage team
• Ensures the room is set up in accordance with guest specifications by supervising set-up team members and inspecting function rooms prior to events
• Supports the smooth running of the Meeting & Events Operations department and the food & beverage department, where all aspects of the guest service experience are delivered to the highest levels
• Works proactively to improve guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and timely response to guest enquiries
• Delivers on plans and objectives where food & beverage initiatives & hotel targets are achieved
• Under the direction of the F&B Manager, supervises the food & beverage and M&E Operations teams fostering a culture of growth, development and performance within the department
• Accountable for ensuring that costs and inventory are controlled, that productivity and performance levels are attained
• Ensures adherence and compliance to all legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered and documented for internal and external audit, performing follow-up as required

Requirements of the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager:

• Experience in food & beverage service
• Proficient in Meeting & Events procedures to be a resource when needed
• Strong supervisory and managerial skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style
• Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry
• Ability to find creative solutions with proven problem-solving capabilities offering support where required
• Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment where collaboration is key
• Experience of working with IT systems on various platforms
• Strong communication skills
• Fluency in English is required and proficiency in a Scandinavian language is beneficial
