The Assistant General Manager (AGM) for Commercial Vehicles is responsible for overseeing both sales and after-sale teams, ensuring revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence. The AGM will also drive new business development initiatives, fostering strategic partnerships and expanding market share.
Responsibilities
1. Sales Management
- Lead the commercial vehicle sales team to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to penetrate new markets and increase revenue.
- Monitor sales performance, pipeline management, and customer conversion rates.
- Strengthen relationships with key fleet customers, dealers, and government agencies.
- Collaborate with marketing to drive brand awareness and lead generation.
2. Service Operations & After-Sales
- Oversee After-sales team operations to ensure high-quality after-sales service and customer satisfaction.
- Implement strategies to enhance service efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimize warranty processes.
- Monitor service KPis, customer feedback, and technical support effectiveness.
- Work closely with the parts and logistics teams to ensure availability of spare parts.
3. New Business Development
- Identify and explore new business opportunities.
- Develop strategic partnerships with financial institutions, government agencies, and fleet operators.
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitive positioning, and customer needs.
- Lead the introduction of new product lines or service packages to expand revenue streams.
4. Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Manage and mentor sales and service teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Set KPis, monitor progress, and provide regular performance feedback.
- Develop training programs to enhance the technical and commercial skills of team members.
5. Financial & Operational Oversight
- Manage P&L for the commercial vehicle division, ensuring profitability and cost efficiency.
- Develop budgets, sales forecasts, and service revenue targets.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Automotive Engineering, Marketing or a related field. MBA is an advantage.
- Proven experience in leadership roles within the commercial vehicle industry.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of sales, after-sales processes, including customer service and support.
- Experience working with fleet operators, dealerships, and government tenders is a plus.
- Ability to analyze market data and develop effective business strategies.
- Result-oriented with a track record of achieving business targets and driving growth.

- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Knowledge of commercial vehicle financing, leasing, and after-sales service.
