We’re seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to help lead our team and maintain our standards of excellence.

Position Summary:

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the General Manager in all aspects of daily operations, with a strong focus on front-of-house management, bar oversight, hookah operations, and guest experience. This leadership role requires a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced nightlife environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Staff Leadership & Scheduling:
  • Create and manage front-of-house (FOH) staff schedules
  • Supervise and support hosts, servers, bartenders, barbacks, and hookah staff
  • Assist with hiring, training, and performance evaluations
  • Bar & Hookah Operations:
  • Manage bar inventory, ordering, and cost control
  • Ensure bar staff follows all TABC guidelines
  • Oversee daily hookah setup, rotation, and sanitation procedures
  • Monitor quality, speed, and consistency of service
  • Entertainment Coordination:
  • Schedule DJs and live entertainment
  • Coordinate with marketing and promoters to execute successful nightlife events
  • Ensure seamless production, sound checks, and artist hospitality
  • Ordering & Inventory:
  • Manage ordering for FOH supplies, bar products, hookah inventory, and uniforms
  • Track and maintain stock levels; minimize waste and shrinkage
  • Compliance & Safety:
  • Enforce food safety protocols and TABC compliance
  • Ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness standards are met
  • Uphold fire code, occupancy, and venue safety guidelines
  • Guest Experience & Conflict Resolution:
  • Lead by example in delivering exceptional hospitality
  • Handle escalated guest concerns with professionalism
  • Ensure smooth guest flow, VIP service, and table management
  • Operational Support:
  • Assist with daily cash handling, tip-outs, and closeout procedures
  • Support General Manager with administrative tasks, reporting, and team development
  • Be available for late-night shifts, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications:

  • 2–3 years of experience in a high-volume restaurant, bar, or lounge in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of TABC and food safety regulations
  • Experience with nightlife operations and entertainment coordination
  • Proficiency in staff scheduling and ordering/inventory systems (e.g., Toast, 7shifts, BevSpot)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $65,000.00 per year
