Job Description
The Office of Finance (OFIN) supports the University in planning and executing sound financial management in fulfillment of the University’s mission; implementing and maintaining a robust financial framework that supports management in effective decision-making; providing fiscal stewardship of University’s resources; and ensuring financial governance and compliance with regulatory requirements.
This role is deployed to Nanyang Business School and reports to the Finance Business Partner.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of school’s Self Financing, subsidized and endowed programmes : budgeting, planning and forecasting activities
- Prepare budget templates and ensure timely submission of budget data
- Monitor budget execution and utilization. Perform evaluation on budget utilization and performance to facilitate decision making over prioritization and strategy
- Conduct decision-support analyses that provides real-time and accurate financial information draws insights from such analyses to make recommendations to the local unit’s Management team, as well as relevant finance stakeholders
- Supports Finance Business Partner in any other matters
Requirements
- Degree in Accountancy/finance or equivalent
- Chartered Accountant, 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge in SAP, Concur, Ariba, Power BI, Tableau are advantageous
- Comfortable operating in a matrix structure and in a constantly changing environment
- Ability to take initiative and work independently and collaboratively within the team
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective interpersonal relationships at all levels
- Strong analytical thinking and communication skills both written and verbal
- Outstanding attention to details and follow-up skills
- Well-developed prioritization, time management and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines and drive projects to completion
