Associate Bi Consultant [Intern]

This paid internship program is intended for people who are interested in a career as a full-time Business Software Consultant. Our ideal applicant will be resourceful with great organizational skills with an understanding of business processes in the small & mid-market.

Program Details

• Position: Associate Business Software Consultant
• Schedule: Monday to Friday - 8am to 5pm
• Length: 3 month program
• Full-Time Paid Position ($20/Hour)

At the end of the program, candidates that excel may be offered full time employment as a Business Software Coordinator. It could also be that gaining experience outside of Miles IT is a necessary first step.

A Typical Day as an Associate Business Software Coordinator

• Hands-on analysis (reviewing databases, tables, fields, and logic) to understand our customers' data and business processes and its use in their business.
• Provide consulting services to our customers and teams on how to best make use of available tools and data analysis options.
• Assist with our Data migration and integration processes by mapping and gathering data elements from Primary & Secondary sources.
• Build or configure low code or no code solutions that automate the processes our customers need.
• Create Dashboards/Reports that fulfill Business Intelligence needs
• Coordinate with Developers to create the specific data warehouse, KPI’s and other data aspects required to deliver our BI-driven solutions

ASSOCIATE BI CONSULTANT PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The program is intended for people who are interested in a career as a full-time Business Software Consultant. The program’s main objective is to provide real world experience through the following methods:

• Business Intelligence Training - You will learn BI & Data Warehousing skills and concepts, including working with PowerBI, creating data marts, and designing dashboards.
• Automation Training - You will learn with your team how to create automation with low code solutions via tools like PowerAutomate
• API Fundamentals - Review of the fundamentals of API’s and their functionality, as well as how to leverage that to understand how to interpret documentation on them.
• Software Development Lifecycle Training - experience the MT SDLC & Agile/Scrum Methodology while working on real world type projects.
• Team Work & Mentorship - experience working with other Miles IT software team members. You will have a mentor that will work with you on training and customer projects.

Required:

• Experience working in a professional business environment
• Experience with BI/Report Building/Dashboards, Data Analytics, Visualization, etc.
• Familiarity with databases and data structured
• Basic understanding of web technologies
• Experience with creating code-less solutions to automation or integration needs

Preferred:

• Experience with SQL
• Experience working in business operations
• Experience with Reporting platforms such as PowerBI, Tableau, or a different BI Platform
